21/10/06 - Firsts beat Winchester 3 nil to go outright top of Hants League

The reserves battled away to beat BOSC Reserves after the opponents equalised twice. Alex Barclay (2) and Ali Ingall-Tombs were the scorers. See results page for more details.

18/10/06 - Hants League news regarding first team

Trophyman cup final (league cup) will be played on Wednesday 2nd May 2007 at Aerostructures FC ground

Hants league to write to Hants FA to ask permission to increase league to 44 clubs, no decision on format decided yet. There concern over how many Wessex league clubs meet step seven requirements and may seek to join Hants league.

If Firsts beat Wrecclesham in Aldershot FA Senior cup we will play Camberley Town (Combined Counties Premier Div) in the next Round. We have been drawn at home but competition rules mean we may have to concede home advantage because they have floodlights and play in a higher standard as determined under rule 6b, but they have to request the game to be switched and played mid-week under lights.

15/10/06 - Veterans lose narrowly in 1-0 defeat against Holly Bush Vets

The veterans lose their second game of the season. No details have been provided.

12/10/06 - Reserves game against Farnham Vineyard is OFF

They can’t get enough players, Fixture secretary has told them we will be awarded the points, but final decision is with the league management committee, it could be we have to play them later on. We won’t know until they hold their meeting in three weeks.

07/10/06 - Firsts make it 4 in a row in a physical 4-1 victory against AFC Wolversdene

The first team won their fourth consecutive game against this dirty Andover outfit. Hammond and Heffernan bagged two goals each whilst there were also 3 bookings. Match report to follow.

07/10/06 - Reserves are held 1-1 against Wey Valley but still remain top

The reserves walk away from another game not knowing how they didn't walk away with all the points. After dominating for most of the game they found it hard to play any flowing football due to the cow field of a pitch. Debutant Mark Blight equalised after Wey Valley scored with their only shot on target. Match report to follow.
