10/10/07 - Firsts lose mid-week fixture away to Netley 3-1
Marks lost this midweek fixture away to Netley with Paul Raymont the scorer.
06/10/07 - Firsts out of Hants Intermediate Cup after 3-2 defeat
In a game where Four Marks were forced make changes due to a number of injuries to key players, and field a largely makeshift team, the Marks youngsters acquitted themselves extremely well on what was a marvellous pitch and a good game for the supporters of both teams.
Both sides started brightly and had numerous chances to score but were both unable to capitalise. Four Marks were to take a serious blow, when young winger Ollie Ledsham was taken to hospital after gashing his head in a collision with the outside railing. Halftime saw the score level at 0-0.
In the second half, marks were to take the lead after fine work from Brothers Scott and Joe Bishton was rewarded with the younger, Scott scoring from his brother’s pass. 5minutes later, Sway were to draw level after some poor defending allowed the forward to score. Marks went into the lead again when a fine pass from Joe Bishton allowed new signing Graham Purser to round the goalkeeper and score his third goal for the club. The lead was not for long though, when a cross from the right was put into the far post and saw the Sway forward loop a header over Marks goalkeeper Bone to draw level at 2-2. With Marks pressing forward for the winner, they were caught on the counter attack allowing Sway to score what proved to be the winner with ten minutes to go. Marks had a couple more half chances, but were unable to draw level.
06/10/07 - Reserves lose 3-2 at home against local rivals AFC Froyle
A Depleted Four Marks reserves were at home to local rivals Froyle, but were unable to make home advantage count, with Froyle scoring the winner with the last kick of the game. ‘Marks goals came from new signing Adam Grant and last years top goal scorer Alex Barclay.
