'Marks get their reward
Hampshire League
Four Marks 4 - 0 Broughton
After a mid-week 2-0 home defeat to Mottisfont, last season's league winners, Four Marks were much more solid on Saturday and put four goals past Broughton in the second half.
Dan Lucas had an inspired game at the heart of the defence as 'Marks soaked up a lot of early pressure.
In the second half, Four Marks began to dominate and were rewarded when Andy Ford's long throw was headed on by Lucas for Tommy Dicker to shoot home.
Ten minutes later, Dicker squared the ball into the box and Matt Lucas forced it home after the keeper had fumbled. 'Marks had their tails up now and the introduction of fresh legs soon paid off. Scott Eife made an immediate impact on his debut, getting on the end of a cross from fellow sub Mack Phillips to make it 3-0.
And with five minutes to go, Dicker's low cross was rifled home by Eife for the fourth goal.
