Hampshire League
Four Marks FC 5-0 Durley FC

Andrew King (62)
Gary Chapman (72)

After last weeks game being called off due to the weather, Four Marks were keen to getting there league programme back on track with a win.
Four Marks started the brighter and took the game to Durley, after just 5 minutes Dan Lucas headed in a corner from Chapman to give Marks the upper hand. After this Marks seemed to easy off and let Durley back into the game with a series of corners, which Marks defended well. As the half went on Marks were doing just enough to keep them selves ahead. Durley were starting to get physical, this only got one of their players sent off. At this point Marks upped their game and controlled the final stages of the half.
The Second half was a different story, Durley were not able to deal with Four Marks’ movement, ability and discipline. From start to finish Four Marks dictated the half. In the 62nd minutes Eife produced an inch perfect cross from the right wing which King headed into the back of the net, 10 minutes later Michael Heffernan beat the Durley centre back and pulled the ball back for King to shoot, the Durley keeper saved the first shot but could not save the follow up from Chapman. The fourth came when Michael Heffernan was brought down in the box. Bridges stepped up to calmly slot the ball into the bottom corner. Michael Heffernan rounded off and good performance when he latched on to a defence splitting pass from brother Mark Heffernan to place the ball passed the on coming keeper.
This was a solid and disciplined performance form the young Four Marks team which puts them back on top of the Hampshire League (2004).
