Victory is sweet for FM
Hampshire League
AFC Wolversdene 1 - 4 Four Marks
Four Marks' good form continued with another fine display of football. But they had to overcome some rather reckless and dangerous challenged which went unpunished to get their reward.
Despite the official's leniency, Marks kept their composure and let their football do the talking. James Hammond headed in the first FM goal, only to give away a controversial penalty to make it 1-1. However, the "culprit" made amends by restoring the Marksmen's lead shortly afterwards with a fine left foot drive.
The second half saw Marks again having to elude some heavy challenges, but they struck home again, this tiem Mike Heffernan chipping the keeper to make it 3-1 to the visitors. Heffernan was then on hand to stab home a Brudges' corner to secure the points, and seal a well-deerved victory over their tempestuous opponents.
